Back in the saddle again

After a long hiatus, I have returned to the writing center! More correctly, the Writing Lab as it is called at Purdue, but the upshot is that I am back in the game. Whooo-Hooo!
Tomorrow I start my new journey into a new lab and new students. The newness is sweet and sour, but that is how life goes.
Clint, I will do my best to post more now that I am back. I look forward to some great posts and comments in the coming months and years.

    Great to have you back, Zac. I'm trying to stir-up more authors for PeerCentered. I have a new class at SLCC about writing center work, and they'll be contributing too.

So, I was driving to school today and as always was listening to NPR (that's my self-promoting conversational piece informing you on how intelligent and connected I am) really, I just like the coverage on the campaign and "This American Life."           I remember my first year as a peer tutor at my high school’s writing center. I could not have been more than fifteen years old when I went to my very first orientation session. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, but I was enthusiastic to learn. That year, the managers of my center were very excited to tell us all about something called minimalist theory. Minimalist theory is a consulting style that focuses on getting students to think for themselves.
